Wilma Jean Lamaster

May 22, 1927 — February 16, 2018

Wilma Jean LaMaster, 90, of Guilford, MO, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Pine View Manor in Stanberry, MO, with her family at her side.

Wilma was born on May 22, 1927, in Whitesville, MO, and lived her life within 2 miles of her birthplace.  Her parents were Druley and Ruby Lorane (Bullock) Hayes.  They preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1997.

She attended the Hickory Creek Elementary School, then she graduated in the first graduating class of the Guilford High School, in 1945.  She was a homemaker, and also farmed with her husband.

On August 3, 1946 in Troy, KS, Wilma was united in marriage to Kenneth LaMaster.

Wilma was a member and attended the Guilford Christian Church.  She had also attended the Barnard Christian Church.  She was a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary, and the Platte Valley Card Party.  She and her husband enjoyed going to country music shows.

Her survivors include her children, daughter, Kenda (John) Busby, Blue Springs, MO, her son, Duane (Linda) LaMaster, Guilford, MO, her grandson, Chris (Mary) LaMaster, Guilford; her 3 granddaughters, Tammy (Scott) Shippy) Blue Springs, Kimberly (Tim) Rist, Humbolt, NE, and Tonya Busby, Blue Springs; her 5 great grandchildren, Garrett (Erin) LaMaster, Cheree Abbott, Kaylin LaMaster, Libby Shippy, and Gunnar Shippy; her great-great grandson, Britton LaMaster.

Wilma was loved and cherished by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandson.  We will all miss her smiles and laughter.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.  The burial will follow in the Weathermon Cemetery, Guilford, MO.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested in Wilma’s names to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 526, Dallas, TX 75244.

Casual attire, including blue jeans is suggested at the service.
