William Lavern Straughn

William Lavern Straughn, 6, Grant City, MO passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2018.

William was born in Joplin, MO. William enjoyed riding his scooter with Papa Dean, recently learned to ride his bike without training wheels and playing checkers, playing video games, playing T-Ball, protecting his family with a wooden hanger tucked into his shirt as his bow and arrow, eating his State Peanut Butter, putting BBQ sauce on everything, and is known for his choice of words.

Preceding him in death include: Lois Fitch, Marie Fitch, William Straughn, Sandra Sue Rogers, Mike Rogers, Robert Lee Reno, Tanya Hendrix, Teila Auffert, Sydni Wilmes, and his dog, Chaz.

Survivors include: Mother, SuDeana Reno of Grant City, MO; Father, Christopher Straughn of Maryville, MO; sister, Abriana Straughn; Uncle, Bobby (Nicole) Reno; Aunts: Joanie (Wes) Thomas, Shawna Scott (TJ Hendren); TaSheena Marriott, Chrystal Dolon, Uncle, Josh Straughn; Grandparents: Dean (Janice) Reno, John and Ruth Straughn; Great-Grandparents: Dorla Taylor, Golda Hasenjaeger, Charlie Fitch, and John Straughn.

Family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home in Maryville, MO.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Miriam Cemetery for the immediate family.
