William Earl “Bill” Ogle, 67, of Clearmont, MO, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO, with family at his side.
Bill was born in Clarinda, IA, on July 5, 1950, to John Paul and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Ogle. He graduated from Bedford High School, Bedford, IA, in 1968. He had grown up in Bedford and then lived in Gretna, NE, before moving to Clearmont in 1975.
On July 12, 1969, in Blockton, IA, Bill was united in marriage to Nancy Sue Cox, she survives of the home.
He farmed for the last 42 years for Wellhausen Farms, Inc. of Clarinda, IA. He had also been the city maintenance man for the town of Clearmont, MO.
Bill attended and was a Deacon at the Clearmont Methodist Church. He was an active volunteer with the Clearmont Community Baseball League, a member of the Clearmont Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years. And had been on the Atchison Township board for 6 years. He was a well-loved member of the Clearmont community.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, John Paul Ogle, infant daughter, Tammy Ogle; grandson, Michael John Ogle; sister, Rebecca Ogle; brother in law, David Curry, father and mother in law, Wayne and Phyllis Cox; brother in laws, John E. Cox, and Carl Dean Cox.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Nancy S. Ogle, of the home; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Ogle, Bedford, IA; 5 children, Chris (Cindy) Ogle, Broken Bow, NE, William D. (Laura) Ogle, Gravity, IA, Tracie (James) Price, Parnell, MO, Misty (Jason) Kaufman, Clark, WY, Angela (Jose Raymundo) Diaz, Royse City, TX; his siblings, Elizabeth (Allen) Coleman, Hopkins, MO, Debbie Curry, Bedford, IA, Sandy (Rob) Wilson, N. Hopkins, MO, John Robert Ogle, Hopkins, MO, and Belinda Ogle, Bedford, IA; sister in law, Ruth Ann (Glen) Lund, Yutan, NE; 23 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, MO.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018, at the funeral home.
