Sydney F. Weybrew, Jr.

Sydney Francis Weybrew, Jr., 75, of Maryville, MO, passed from this life on September 12, 2019, at his home in Maryville.

Syd was born in Brentwood, MO, on October 6, 1943, to Sydney Francis and Mildred Burgess Weybrew, Sr.  They preceded him in death

Syd graduated from the University of Missouri and was an attorney with a private practice in Maryville.  He was formerly the Prosecuting Attorney in Daviess and Holt Counties in Missouri.

Syd loved to sail and would sail up and down the east coast.  He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was a card-carrying member of the ACLU.

His survivors include his son, Syd and wife Barbara Weybrew, of Maryville; his sister Sybil and husband Richard Carlson; 2 grandchildren, Ashely Weybrew, and Brendan Weybrew, both of Maryville; 2 step grandchildren, Kate (Dave) Minor, Kirksville, MO, and Tyler (Kristin) Grooms, Trenton, MO; 5 great grandchildren, Maddison and Mayryssa Weybrew, Morgan and Taylor Orndoroff, and Lila Grooms; and Cathy Weybrew, of the home in Maryville.

Mr. Weybrew has been cremated.  His memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.  No formal visitation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Maryville Public Library, or to the Missouri Democratic Party.
