Sue Ann Pedersen

Sue Ann Coulter Pedersen, 91, of Conception Junction, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, in Maryville, Missouri.  She was born on February 16, 1933, to Keeran and Anna Schneider Coulter in Bedison, Missouri,

She was united in marriage to Gerald Pedersen on May 11, 1951.  They celebrated 61 years of marriage before he passed away in March of 2013.  Sue Ann worked at the Conception Abbey during apple harvest, was a cook at South Nodaway school, Washington Township Tax Collector and was a clerk at Nelson General Store, besides being a farm wife and mother.

She was a member of the Guilford United Methodist Church, the UMW, the Pleasant Workers Club, and was a longtime 4-H leader.  She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing cards.  She played cards weekly with her best friend Madonna Strueby.    She gathered berries and gave away several jars of jelly and jam.

She loved being on the farm, always raising a large garden for her family, raising and butchering chickens, and spending lot's of time outdoors.  She took pride in mowing her yard and did until the summer of 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald Cleo, a grandson, Seth Levi, 2 daughters-in-law, Diane Pedersen, and Robin Pedersen, her siblings, Francis, Tommy, Dale, Elaine Wallace, Rolland, and Carrol.

Sue Ann leaves behind her children, Gerald “Rick”, St. Louis, Missouri, Martin (Margaret), Stanberry, Missouri, Keeran “Chris”, Guilford, Missouri, Ron (Ellen), Guilford, Missouri, David (Diana), Maryville, Missouri, Nancy (Doug) Hilsabeck, Trenton, Missouri, and James (Christine “Chris”), Maryville, Missouri, her sister, Mary (Jerry) Murphy, Maryville, Missouri, sister-in-law, Marie Bullock, Cosby, Missouri, and 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 6-8:00 PM, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at the Guilford United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the Graves Cemetery, Guilford, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Graves Cemetery, Guilford, Missouri.
