Stanley Lynn Stanton

Stanley Lynn Stanton, Skidmore, MO, passed away May 5, 2018 at the Maryville Living Center. Stanley was born May 30, 1935 in Bolckow, MO to William Glenn and Maggie (Edwards) Stanton.

On September 5, 1959, Stanley was united in marriage to Mary Donna Mires.

Stanley graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1953 and served in the Army from 1955 to 1957. Stanley was a member of the Maryville Christian Church but attended Laura Street Baptist Church.
Stanley and Mary farmed together for over 20 years and then he became a food safety inspector until his retirement in 2008.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Darlene Stanton and a great grand-child.

Stanley is survived by: his wife, Mary Donna; his 3 children, Rickie Lynn Stanton, Mary Sandra (Jubal) Smith and Terri (Steven) Smith, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and his brother William Lee (Evelyn) Stanton.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 am, both at Laura Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Miriam cemetery in Maryville with military honors.

In lieu for flowers, memorials are suggested to Laura Street Baptist Church.
