Ruth Jean Parman, 87, of Maryville, MO, and formerly of the Barnard and Graham areas, passed from this life on Monday, October 30, 2017, at her home, with her family at her side.
Ruth Jean was born on November 26, 1929, in Barnard, MO. Her parents were Sam C. and Ruby H. (Gilbert) Burns, and preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband, John L. Parman, on September 28, 2009.
She graduated from Graham High School, and had attended NWMSU, in Maryville. She was a farm wife, and had worked at JC Penney’s, and Gray’s Insurance, both of Maryville, and had been a hospice volunteer in the area.
On May 22, 1949, in Barnard, MO, Ruth Jean was united in marriage to John L. Parman, he passed away in 2009.
She leaves behind her 2 sons, Kurby Parman, Barnard, and Bob (Nancy) Parman, Barnard; 2 grandsons, Cody (Necama) Parman , Barnard, and Austin (Katie) Parman, Barnard, 2 granddaughters, Bobbi J. (Seneca) Holmes, Aurora, CO, and Jessie L. (Nathan) Prettyman, Barnard; 10 great grandchildren, Seneca, Santonio and Soren Holmes, Parker, Paxton, Piper and Porter Prettyman, Blair Allen, Sadie Parman, Jackson Parman, and 2 honorary great granddaughters, Ivy and Eliana Goldsmith.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will be in the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery, Barnard, MO.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the funeral home.
