Ronald Lee Yates, Maryville, MO., passed away Friday, August 24, 2018, at his home. Ronnie was born March 4, 1943, to Leland R. and Letha M. (Barr) Yates, in Maryville, MO.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon, of the home, his children, Kelly Yates (Stacey Steele) of San Tan Villiage, AZ, Kristi Yates (Tom Counterman) of Gilbert, AZ, Keri Yates of Overland Park, KS, Rachel Mitchell (Rick) of Lee's Summit, MO, Brenda Lyle (fiance, Joe Tamse) of West Des Moines, IA, Jeff Lyle (Tara) of Maryville, MO, mother-in-law, Doris McDonald of Maryville, MO, brother, Larry Yates of Burlington Junction, MO, sister, Lillian Yates-Lyberger (Jim) of Kansas City, MO, grandchildren, Braxton and Bria Counterman of Phoenix, AZ, Stevie Toomey (Will) and Heather Utterback of Iowa City, IA , Maggie Utterback of Des Moines, IA, Devian Perkins (Marcus) of Pickering, MO, Hallie Lyle Maupin of Maryville, MO, Trystan Lyle of Maryville, MO as well as six great-grandchildren including many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Earl McDonald, sister-in-law, Ilene Plymell Yates and Robbie Lyle, stepson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Burlington Junction Methodist Church, on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 am, officiated by Pastors Billie Gene Farrens and David Jerome, with fellowship to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
