Ronald James Mcclemons

Ronald James McClemons, 73, of Maryville, MO, and formerly of Des Moines, IA, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville.

Ronald was born on June 26, 1944, in Des Moines, his parents were Howard and Iris (Norman) McClemons, and preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his siblings, Barbara Burrell, Virginia McClemons, Robert McClemons, David McClemons, and Kathleen McClemons.

He graduated from Saydel High School, Des Moines, and had attended Des Moines Area Community College. He had worked 25 years and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, in Des Moines. He was of the Catholic faith.

In 1964, he married Grace Elaine Cort, and they later divorced. On July 26, 2013, he was united in marriage to Jody Lynn Eckman, and she survives of Maryville.

Other survivors include his children, Angie (Robert) Lepley, Lacona, IA, Amy (Phil) Schreck, Maryville, MO, Julie (Kiel) Hoppenworth, West Des Moines, IA, his step daughter, Angie (Jeremy) Rounds, Creston, IA; his sister, Mary Gambrel, Ankeny, IA; 11 grandchildren, Lindsay, Emily and Blake Schreck, Maryville, Alex (Mark) Clifton, Pleasantville, IA, Nick (Bailley) Olsen, Conistota, SD, Alexia Lepley, Lacona, IA, Brad Lepley, Ankeny, IA, Nicole Lepley, West Des Moines, IA, Abby (Dave) Williamson, West Des Moines, IA, Colt Hoppenworth, West Des Moines, IA; 4 step grandchildren, Mark, Alexis, Hannah & Ethan Rounds, Creston, IA; 7 great grandchildren, Rhyan Clifton, Addyson Macias, and Quinn and Hunter Lepley,Bella, Jaydyn, and Elyja Williamson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. McClemons has been cremated and his memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, on Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services on Friday.

The inurnment will be at the Miriam Cemetery at a later date.
