Richard J. Schieber

Richard J Schieber, age 78, of Columbia died September 23, 2024, in Columbia, recently of Maryville, after complications of Agent Orange.

Richard was born on January 2, 1946, in Maryville to Leonard and Laura (Eickholt) Schieber. He married Jane Kissinger on December 30, 1972.

He is survived by his wife Jane; daughter Lori (James) Melton, and granddaughter Addison Melton. He is also survived by his father-in-law Eldon Kissinger; siblings Mary Jo Schieber, SSM; Bill Schieber; Nancy (Jerry) Fennell; Phillip (Linda) Schieber; Steve (Sandy) Schieber; Ruth (Tom) Kemper; sister-in-law Denise Schieber; brother-in-law Russ (Pam) Kissinger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Zella; brother Mark Schieber, and sister-in-law Susan Schieber.

Richard was an active member of the Northwest Missouri community. He was a member of Kiwanis, VFW, American Legion, Optimist Club, St Francis Hospital auxiliary, and Elks. He served in the Air Force from 1964 to 1968.

Visitation will be held September 30, at 9:00 am, at Bram Funeral Home, 206 E South Hills Dr, Maryville, Missouri, followed by services at 10:30. Inurnment will follow at High Ridge Cemetery in Stanberry, Missouri.
