Richard Lynn Goodspeed

Richard Lynn Goodspeed passed peacefully at his home Tuesday, January 28th, 2025. 

Richard was born February 22, 1947, in Columbia, MO, to Arthur and Martha (Mumford) Goodspeed. He grew up in Maryville. He graduated from Maryville High School and attended one year at NWMSU.

He worked nine years at NWMSU as an electrician and then retired from Energizer after 30 years.

On June 6, 1970, he was united in marriage to Wanda Lynn McGinness at the United Methodist Church in Ravenwood, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ronald and Alan. 

Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of 54 years. Sisters, Carole (Jerry) Protzman of Santan, AZ, Karen (Dennis) Dakan of Maryville, MO. Sister-in-law Delma Goodspeed of Maryville, Fran Cupples of Fullerton NE, Gail (Gene) Poppa of Maryville. Brother-in-law Terry (Donnette) McGinness of Maryville, MO along with several nieces and nephews and their families. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church (CHOW), 102 N. Main Street, Maryville, MO, 64468, or to Three Oaks Hospice, 1213 N. Belt Highway Suite E , St. Joseph, MO, 64506.

A visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Maryville, MO from 2-4 pm on Saturday February 8, 2025.

Services are under the direction of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
