Richard Eugene Ferron left us suddenly, on April 29 th , 2018. His life on earth came to an end at his home in Maitland, MO at the age of 75. We lovingly send him off to his new home in Heaven, and continue to carry him in our hearts.
Richard was born in Omaha, NE on September 6, 1942 to parents William and Marie Ferron, who have preceded him in death.
New to the Maitland area, he and wife Brenda looked forward to beginning a new chapter in life together. They made many great strides towards developing an ideal place to call their own within the welcoming and peaceful community.
A gifted track-and-field sprinter at Benson High School in Omaha, Richard competed at the highest levels within the region and went on to continue athletics and advance his education at Peru State in Nebraska, graduating with a Masters degree.
He began his career as a school teacher and would teach for 15 years, moving across Nebraska, Montana, and Washington before finding love with his wife and current widow, Brenda Jean Pruitt. The two married happily in Yakima, WA in 1975.
Richard lived life as a devout Christian, avid outdoorsman, and loving and caring father and husband. He found great joy and contentment in nature, most notably the mountains, lakes and streams of Washington, and was especially passionate about fishing. He loved keeping a yard and garden, playing music at home, and spending time with the family dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ferron; six children, Julie Deloney (Matt), Jeff Ferron (Anne), Wesley Ferron, Chrystal Ferron, Justin Ferron (Amie), and Jordan Ferron; and brother, Bill Ferron (Doris). He is further survived by ten grandchildren, Carissa, Brady, Alex, Emma, Christian, Logan, Evelyn, Owen, Iris, and newborn Una, as well as one great-grandchild and several dear nieces and nephews.
