Patricia Ann Hicks

Patricia Ann “Pat” Hicks, 84, of Maryville, Missouri, and formerly of Maitland, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Parkdale Manor in Maryville, with family at her side.

Patricia was born in Stanberry, Missouri, on December 11, 1939, to Everett Eugene and Lela G. (Arnold) Umphry. She had lived in Stanberry, Craig, and Maitland before moving to Maryville.

She graduated from Stanberry High School in 1957. She worked as a waitress and at the cap factory in Stanberry, Missouri.

She was a former member of the  Maitland United Methodist Church member and the Maitland American Legion Auxiliary. Patricia enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

On July 6, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Stanberry, Patricia was united in marriage to Larry Lee Hicks, Sr. They were married for over 49 years before he passed in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 children, Pamela Ann, and an infant son, 2 sisters, Kay Gage, and Sue Wilmes, and her brother, Eugene Umphry.

She leaves behind her 2 sons, Larry L. (Mary) Hicks, Jr., of Maitland, Missouri, and Kevin (Tisha) Hicks, of St. Joseph, Missouri, a daughter, Mary Jean Hicks, of Albany, Missouri, her brother, Gary (Linda) Umphry, of Cameron, Missouri, 7 grandchildren, Melody, Dawn, Chasity, Heather, Shannon, Hailey, and Justin, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2024, with services immediately following at 11:00 AM at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Mrs. Hicks will be cremated after the service, and her cremains will be buried later at the Benton Cemetery, Mound City, Missouri.

Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church, Graham, Missouri.
