Margie Mae Hecker, 82, of Maryville, MO, passed away on October 5, 2017 at Parkdale Manor Nursing Home in Maryville.

Margie was born October 4, 1935 in Watson, MO. She was the daughter of Percy Lee “Bill” Hines and Alta Maye (Bryan) Hines. Her parents preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husband Gordon in 2011, her son Larry, her siblings, brothers, Kenneth, Glen, Dean, Harold, and Robert, and sister Rosalie Laughlin.

Margie graduated from Quitman Missouri high school and went on to business college. She was employed for over 30 years by the Western Electric Company, in Millard, NE, where she did factory work.

On June 19 th , 1953 in St. Joseph, MO she married Gordon La Verne Hecker.

She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Maryville, MO. She loved to play cards, bingo, and did lots of custom quilting.

Her survivors included, daughter, Susan (Karl) Masoner of Kansas City, MO, daughter Karen (Jeff) Robertson of Talmage, NE, son Ed (Sherry) Hecker of Fergus Falls, MN, and daughter, Sandy (Oscar) Alvarado of La Vista, NE, and sister Helen (Dean) Rowlett of Syracuse, NE, 7 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday, October 9 th , 2017, at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City, MO.

The family will meet friends from 11:00 AM until Noon at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Memorials can be directed to either The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
