Marcine T. Watson

Marcine T. Watson, 86, of Barnard, MO, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the SSM/St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, MO.

Marcine was born on April 2, 1932, in Alliance, NE.  Her parents were Floyd and Elva (Bunce) Traster.  They preceded her in death.  She was also preceded by husband, and her brother, Harlan Traster.

She had lived in this area since a youth; and graduated from Hopkins High School, Hopkins, MO.  She had attended business school in Omaha, NE, and was a homemaker.

Marcine liked history and to visit cemeteries.  She enjoyed working in her yard and flower garden.  But she took great joy in raising her children and attending and participating in all their events.  She was a member of the Barnard Christian Church, and the Ladies Circle at the Church.  She was a former member of the Barnard Rescue Squad.

On February 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to James M. Watson.  He passed away on December 17, 2014.

Her survivors include her children, David Watson and Chad Kiger, Sacramento, CA, Jeff Watson, San Antonio, TX, Susan Watson and Kristen Peltz, Barnard, and Amy Watson, Barnard; grandchildren, Abigail, St. Joseph, MO, Nichol Peltz, St. Joseph, MO, Sara Peltz, Lawrence, KS, and Bradley Peltz, Humboldt, IA; several great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, JoJo.

Mrs. Watson has been cremated.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM till 7:30 PM, on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

The burial will be later in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO.

Memorials are suggested to the SSM Hospice of NW Missouri.
