Lovie Joy Henggeler

Lovie Joy Henggeler, 89, of Stanberry, MO, passed from this life at home on Friday, September 22, 2023, with family at her side.

Lovie was born on November 16, 1933, her parents were Roy and Helena (Wilcox) Shughart.  They preceded her in death.  She was also preceded by her husband in October of 2019, and her sister, Marilyn Oldfield.

She married Cletus Henggeler on July 4, 1968, at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO.  They were married over 51 years before his death.

Lovie lived and worked for a time in Kansas City and became a farm wife when she married Cletus.

She was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed reading and watching mystery shows on TV and liked to sing.

Lovie leaves behind her 2 daughters, Catherine Henggeler, Stanberry, MO and Mary Henggeler, and her 4 sons, Joe Henggeler, Cumming GA, Dan Henggeler, Independence, MO, Karl Henggeler, and Henry Henggeler, St. Joseph, MO, and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, MO. The service time will be 2:00 PM.  No formal visitation is planned.

Services will be under the direction of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Special Olympics of Northwest Missouri.
