Lori Lynn O’Riley, 63, of St. Joseph, Missouri, and formerly of Maryville, Missouri, passed away after a brief illness at Northcare Hospice, North Kansas City, Missouri.

Lori was born in Maryville, on November 4, 1961, to Harry L. and Alice M. (Nelson) Schmitt. She graduated from Maryville High School in 1980.

On September 28, 1988, she was united in marriage to Terrance L. (TO) O’Riley, in Clinton, Missouri. They formerly lived in Maryville and had lived in St. Joseph since 1989. She was a Christian. She worked in the garden center for Walmart for the past 23 years.

Lori enjoyed being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother above all. She loved to cook, her flowers, and even enjoyed fishing. She loved to spend time outdoors and spending time at the lake and to sunbathe. She loved animals, loved the holidays and to celebrate Christmas and birthday parties.  Her passion was shopping and finding a good buy, even if she already had it, ‘you just can’t pass up a good deal’.

Her parents preceded her in death, as well as her grandparents, Harry R. and Anna M. Schmitt, and Ernest and Myrtle Nelson, her sister, Shirley Elam, and brother, Russell Schmitt, and her nephew, Jason Forney.

She is survived by her husband TO, of the home, her 3 sons, Brandon Foster, Trimble, Missouri, Travis O’Riley, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Tyler (Nikita Davis) O’Riley, St. Joseph, Missouri, her siblings, Don Schmitt, Essex, Iowa, Barb (Terry) Proffitt, Sheridan, Wyoming, and Sue (Marty) Eckstein, Maryville, Missouri, her 3 grandchildren, Mason Foster, Noah Foster, and Allie Foster, her brother-in-law, Jerry O’Riley, and many nieces and nephews.
