Judith Lee (Judy) Job, age 80, passed from this life on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, with her loving family at her side.
Judy was born in Maryville on October 8, 1943, to Raymond and Hazel (Livengood) Job. She grew up in Maryville and graduated from Maryville High School.
She married Jim Gaukel. They lived in Maryville then spent 5 years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They divorced after 18 years of marriage, and Judy moved back to the Maryville area. Later she moved to Waco, Texas for 15 years, then moved back in 1995 to take care of her dad. She was a custodian at Northwest Missouri State University, she had also worked in retail.
She had attended the First Christian Church in Maryville.
Judy loved her family and her many close friends. She could reminisce and tell stories at length about growing up in Maryville and her family and friends.
Her parents preceded her in death, as well as her son, Jobie Gaukel in 1968, and her sister, Ramona Job, her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Donna Job, and her friend of 74 years, Joyce Wray Butler.
She leaves behind her son, J. Scott (D’Ann) Gaukel, Burlington Junction, Missouri, her grandson, Tyler (Haley) Gaukel, her great grandchildren, Dorian, Aiden and Gwenavre Gaukel, and step grandchildren, Brandon (Shelby) Simpson, and Billy (Tayllor) Knarr, and her nieces, LeAnn (Wayne) Kuykendall, Nena Herndon, Kim Trimble, and Billie (James) Pankau, and her dog, BeBe.
Judy has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. The burial will follow at the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, also of Maryville.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
Memorials are suggested to the New Nodaway Humane Society, 829 S. Depot St., Maryville, Missouri.
