John Kenneth Dragoo, 66, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed from this life on Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Maryville, MO.
John was born in Burlington Junction, MO, on March 8, 1951 and was a lifelong resident of the area. His parents were Byron Eugene and Mary Jane (Dewyre) Dragoo.
John graduated from West Nodaway High School in 1969. He joined the US Army and served in Vietnam. John was a machinist all his life. He had worked for Energizer, Laclede Chain, and Uniroyal, all of Maryville.
He was of the Christian faith. He was a member and past Commander of the Rolla Dicks American Legion Post 315, Burlington Junction. He enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, playing cards and visiting his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Eugene Dragoo.
His survivors include his 2 daughters, Valerie (Brett) Maddox, Humble, TX, and Jolene Burton, Spring, TX; his sister, Betty Dragoo, Burlington Junction, MO; 5 grandchildren, Maddi, Zane, Carli, Libby, and Emma; 2 nephews, Byron (Michelle) Dragoo, Savannah, MO, Luke (Melissa) Dragoo, Roanoke, VA; and great nieces and nephew, Skylynn, Jaiden, Alayna, Taylor, and J.T.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 27, 2017, at the First Christian Church, Burlington Junction, MO. The burial will follow in the Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, MO.
The family will meet with friends from 4-6 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home in Maryville.
Military rites at the cemetery will be by the Missouri Military Honors Detail, and members of the Rolla Dicks American Legion Post 315, Burlington Junction.
Memorials are suggested to American Legion Post 315, Burlington Junction, or the Fairfax Community Hospital.
