Joe Allen Day, 58, of Graham, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Maryville, Missouri.

He was born in Nodaway County, on August 22,1966, to Gene and Patty Day of Skidmore. Missouri, and he had lived all his life in the area. Joe married Melissa Clements September 20, 1997, and they had two children Brody and Breanna.

Joe attended Nodaway Holt High School where he was a stellar athlete, excelling in football, track and field, basketball and also rodeo. After graduation he attended Tarkio College on a football scholarship and then Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.

He enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard and served 21 years, retiring as 1st Sergeant.

Joe and Melissa were owners of Precision Lawn Care and Joe took great pride in taking care of his customers. He was well known for being a hard worker, even beginning with his first job at age 8 helping his uncle Ed raking hay and doing field work. He was never without a job from that time on.

Joe's greatest love was his family. Spending time with his wife, coaching, and supporting his children were some of his favorite things. He was a fan of the KC Chiefs and Northwest basketball. He also enjoyed camping and sharing a cold Bud Light Lime with friends and family. He loved his black angus cattle and green grass with no dandelions.

Joe was a member of Graham United Methodist Church and a former member of the Nodaway Holt School Board and Graham Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa, of the home, son, Brody Day, of Honolulu, HI, daughter, Breanna (Garrett) Meyer, Graham, MO, his mother, Patty Day, sister, Becky Harper, brother, Steve Day, mother-in-law, Mary Clements and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his aunt Carolyn with whom he had a special relationship.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Day, his niece Bobbie Jo Stinnett, sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Mike Abrams, and his father-in-law, Russell Clements.

Joe will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 PM, on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Graham United Methodist Church, or the Graham Lions Club.
