Gary M. Parshall, 81, of Clearmont, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Rock Port, with family members at his side.
Gary was born on December 8, 1943, at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Missouri, to Melvin C. and Clara L. (Crockett) Parshall. He was a lifelong resident of the area.
Gary graduated from West Nodaway High School and took some mechanic training in Kansas City. He was a farmer and truck driver all his life. He attended the Clearmont Christian Church.
His parents preceded him in death, as well his first wife, Judith K. (Shanks) Parshall. They were married over 51 years before her death in 2015.
Gary enjoyed the outdoors; he liked to hunt and fish, and enjoyed all kinds of animals, and attending sales. He worked on and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed firearms and was a serious trap shooter.
On April 8, 2019, Gary was united in marriage to Irene Rosanna Linville Caton, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Shane (Sheryl) Parshall, Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Scott (Kelly) Parshall, Skidmore, Missouri, his siblings, Gloria Martz, Burlington Junction, Missouri, Dick Parshall, Tarkio, Missouri, Shirley Kay (Rodney) Wake Burlington Junction, Missouri, Kristie (Ed) Hale, Rock Port, Missouri, and Roger Parshall, Tarkio, Missouri, his 3 grandchildren, Kylie Parshall, Zachary (Libby) Parshall, and Madison Parshall, and great granddaughter Quinn Parshall. He added more family when he and Irene married, including, Korine Caton, Forest City, Missouri, Kristine Johnson, Mound City, Missouri, Karla Webster, Mound City, Missouri, K. Wayne Caton, Forest City, Missouri, and Karrie Wright, St. Joseph, Missouri. Gary also had many nieces and nephews.
Gary has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Bram Funeral Home. The burial will be at a later date.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the New Nodaway Humane Society, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
