Earl Edward “Ed” Hall, 73, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Village Care Center, Maryville, after a short illness.

Ed was born in Maryville on July 31, 1951, to Earl and Leila (Shirleen (Shockley) Hall. They preceded him in death. He grew up on the family farm and had lived in the Hopkins/Bedford area, and for many years in Maryville.

He graduated from the Bedford High School in 1969, and had attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville. Ed attended the First Christian Church in Hopkins.

Ed worked as a parts manager for over 20 years at the former Rupp Automotive and then retired after many years with O’Reilly Auto Parts, both of Maryville.

Ed loved cars, especially Mercury Cougars. He was instrumental in the Chillicothe Car Show and spent many years with the planning, organizing and working that event. He also liked antique furniture.

The farm was a big part of Ed’s life. He liked the outdoors; camping at Lake of Three Fires, going to the State fair, and tractor pulls. He also loved his dogs.

On August 22, 1971, Ed was united in marriage to Pamela Kay Hager, in Hopkins, Missouri, and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include his sister, Janet Lea (Robert) Montgomery, Trenton, TX, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and many friends.

Ed has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

There will be a memorial service for Ed at 2:00 PM, on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home in Maryville. The burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church in Hopkins, Missouri, or the New Nodaway Humane Society, Maryville, Missouri.
