Donna Jean Walker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Jean Walker, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. Donna passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at the age of 78.

Donna was born on Saturday, June 29th, 1946, in Maryville, MO, to Eldon Williams Staten and Irene V. (Treese) Staten. She spent her entire life in the Ravenwood and Maryville area, where she was a cherished member of the community.

Donna was an employee of Eveready in Maryville, MO, where she worked for 23 years. She also worked at the Conception Abbey and worked as a library aid for the NE Nodaway School. Her commitment to her work and her colleagues was unwavering.

Donna was a proud lifelong member of the West Union Primitive Baptist Church, Maryville, MO.  She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Ravenwood, MO, where she found joy in serving others. Her servant's heart and love for helping those around her were evident in all aspects of her life. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.

Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Rolland Walker, her parents, Eldon and Irene Staten, and her brother, Gary Staten. She is survived by her three children: Carla (Phillip) Rickabaugh of Maryville, MO, Connie (Matthew) Meek of Weatherford, TX, and Ritchie (Julie) Walker of Milford, NE. She also leaves behind her sister, Cindy (Jim) Welch of Ravenwood, MO, and sister-in-law, Cindy Staten of Tarkio, MO.

Donna was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren: Lacy Walker, Davin Underwood, Seth Rickabaugh, Tanner Rickabaugh, Collin Underwood, Richland Walker, Alexander Walker, Carson Meek, and Mollie Meek. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Leena Allen, Lainey Ahal, Thomas Rickabaugh, Hudson Underwood, Lavella Rickabaugh, and one great-great-grandchild, Parker Paris.

Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Monday, April 21st, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Donna's life will take place at the same location on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, at 10:00 am.

Donna Jean Walker will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her selfless spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
