Donald D. McCrary

Donald Dean McCrary, 78, in Conception Junction, Missouri, passed away at home on Monday, February 17, 2025, with family at his side. 

Don was born in Elmo, Missouri, on August 10, 1946, to Cleo R. and Lela Mae (Galbraith) McCrary, he lived his whole life in the area. He was a member and attended the St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, Missouri. 

He liked to golf and had played a lot of softball over the years. He enjoyed playing cards and to hunt. 

His parents preceded him in death. As well as his son, Donald Dean McCrary, Jr., in 2007, also his brother Ray, and his sisters, Jessie McCrary, and Leona Wright. 

Don was united in marriage to Kathleen M. Schieber, and she survives of the home. 

Other survivors include his children, Ricky (Brooke) McCrary, Winston, Missouri, Matt McCrary, Conception Junction, Missouri, Barb McCrary, Clyde, Missouri, Brenda Harwell, Omaha, Nebraska, and Heather Simmerman, Stanberry, Missouri. And by his brother, Richard (Dorothy) McCrary, Denison, Texas, his sister-in-law, Sharon McCrary, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will on at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the St. Gregory’s Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri. The burial will follow in the St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri. 

There will be a Parish and family Rosary at 5:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Gregory’s, and the visitation will follow until 7:00 PM.
