Donald F. Herring

Donald Francis Herring, 93, of Maryville, MO, and formerly of Raytown, MO, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Cameron Veterans Home, Cameron, MO.

Donald was born on October 21, 1923, in Kansas City, MO.  He lived most all his life in the Raytown, MO, area, and then moved to Maryville in 2009.

A US Army Veteran, Donald proudly served his country from April 1943 until his honorable discharge in January 1946.

Donald was a pressman for the Kansas City Star newspaper for over 20 years.

He was a member and attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Raytown, MO, and then attended St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Maryville.

Preceded him in death were his parents; his son Patrick J. Herring, in 2011, and his granddaughter Delanee Joel Herring in 1985.

On February 15, 1948, Donald was united in marriage to Annetta Frances Pendelton in Raytown, MO.  She survives of Maryville, MO.

Other survivors include his children, Michael (Debra) Herring, Maryville, MO, and Timothy Herring, Kansas City, MO; and 6 grandchildren.

Mr. Herring has been cremated under this direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be at the Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
