Connie Dale Backman

Connie Dale Backman, 61, of Maryville, MO, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Northcare Hospice House, in North Kansas City, MO.

Connie was born November 5, 1955 in Santa Rosa, CA. Her parents were Dean Palmer and Jeanette May (Treder) Palmer. They preceded her in death.

During her life she worked as seamstress, a truck driver, and was trained to be a gourmet cook. She also made and sold jewelry.

Her education included 2 years of college.

On December 18, 1993 she married Dennis W. Backman in Santa Rosa, CA. He survives of the home.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Justin (Vanessa) Armstrong of Burlington Junction, MO, Ellen Marie (John) Erich of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dennis Wayne (Jamie) Backman of Maryville, MO, and Jessica Joy Galloway of Tehachapi, CA, her sister Deana (Jim) Butler of Petaluma,CA, her brother Herb (Cindy) Palmer of Cotati, CA, 16 grandchildren, Andaya Backman, Timberley Armstrong, Tameyra Armstrong, Mylee Backman, Racyn Backman, Kruse Backman, Tyler Greene, Olivia Marriett, Johnny Rich, Steven Galloway, Peyton Galloway, Makayla Galloway, and Landon Galloway, 2 great grandchildren; Bentley Rich, and Tylon Allen.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The service time is 10:30 AM. Mrs. Backman’s has been cremated under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home.

The family will meet with friends starting at 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
