Barbara L. Chubick

Barbara Louise Chubick, 71, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri, after a brief illness.

Barbara was born in Maryville on December 15, 1953, and had lived her life in the area. Her parents were John P. and Evelyn J. (Hart) Seipel, and they preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her son, Chad Chubick on January 3, 2017.

She graduated from Maryville High School and had taken nursing classes. She had worked as a nurse’s aide over the years at area nursing homes. Barbara was of the Catholic faith and had attended St. Gregory’s Catholic Church.

On December 6, 1973, at the Assembly of God Church in Maryville, Barbara was united in marriage to Marvin Lee Chubick. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her children, Scott (Teri) Chubick, Chillicothe, Missouri, Lani (Jeff) Derks, Maryville, and Ashley Chubick (Andrew Aguiar), Maryville, her sisters, Donna Key, Maryville, Debby Smail, Paola, Kansas, and Wanda Bombara, Maryville, her grandchildren, Colton (Maranda) Chubick, Connor Chubick, Nathan Derks, Steven Derks, Christina (Remington) Long, Avalyn, Alyvia, and Abram Aguiar, 3 great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. 

A memorial service is being planned for a later date at the Bram Funeral Home and will be announced.
