Allen Ray Orgeron, 81, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away at home on
Monday, November 4, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Al was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 16, 1943, to Edward J.
and Lena Lynn (Theriot) Orgeron, Sr. He grew up in Louisiana and
graduated from Opelousas Senior High, and later attended the
University of Southwestern Louisiana, in Lafayette. He was proud of
his heritage and didn’t mind letting you see his “Ragin Cajun” side.
Al was a salesman and worked over 24 years for Ecolab and retired in
2004. After retirement, he and Jackie moved to the Maryville area in
2006.
He enjoyed golf, and playing with his buddies in the senior golf
group. He was a musician and played drums. He was with a group in
his high school years, and they had played any ‘Honky-tonk’ gig they
could find. He was also fond of entertaining his grandkids with his
drum solos on the steering wheel. Al was a music, golf and crawfish
lover.
He was also proud of his 18 years as a Maryville Host Lions Club
member and was the club secretary for many of those years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his 3 sons, James
Orgeron, Sean Orgeron, and Tony Wilson.
He married Jacqualine Scarano, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Lisa (David) Dayton, Temecula,
California, Nicole (Scott) Crochet, Harahan, Louisiana, Stacy (Tony)
Wood, Maryville, Missouri, and Callie (Michelle Garcia) Orgeron,
Westminster, Colorado, his brother, James (Carolyn) Bourque, his 6
grandchildren, Brett (Amalia) Dayton, Holly (Teki) Menna, Casey
Dayton, Christian Orgeron, Kensley Wood, and Gracelyn Wood, and 7
great grandchildren.
Al has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home,
Maryville, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life Service for Al will be on November 17, 2024,
from 1-3:00 PM, at the Mozingo Event Center, Maryville, Missouri.
