Marjorie M. Florea 86, of Maryville, MO., passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Parkdale Manor Nursing Home in Maryville, MO.
Marjorie was born on May 14, 1923 in Pickering, MO., to Frank D. and Anna Leona Loch Howard. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Arcille Payton, and a brother, Francis D. Howard in infancy.
She graduated from the Hopkins High School, Hopkins, MO., and had been active in the BPW of Maryville, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She had attended the Methodist Church.
Marjorie was employed for many years as a clerk and manager for Woolworth’s in Maryville, then in Springfield, MO, and Woolco in St. Joseph, MO.
Marjorie married Milo E. Florea in Maryville, MO., he preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Doris Adamson, Laramie, WY, and Darlene Florea, Maryville, MO; a brother, Ronald Howard, Merriam, KS, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville. The Rev. Paul McKim will be the officiant. The burial will be in the Long Branch Cemetery, Gaynor, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the SSM Hospice of NW Missouri.
