Michael Dean Wellington

Maryville - Michael "Mike" Dean Wellington, 53, of Maitland, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the St. Francis Hospital.

Michael was born in Fairfax, MO on January 24, 1957 to the late Dean Wilson Wellington and Lavona (Collins) Russell.

A veteran of the United States Marine Corp after six years, he worked as a laborer in construction for most of his life, and was a member of the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, Maryville.

He is survived by his mother; Lavona Russell, Maitland; son Jared Curtis Wellington, Maryville; his former wife Barbara Wellington, and many other family & friends. His grandparents John Brooks Wellington & Ola Mae Wellington; father Dean Wilson Wellington; stepfather J.V. Russell; and Gladys I. Collins preceded him in death.

There will be a memorial graveside service at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Maitland Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Gazaway officiating.
