Graham, MO - Ermal Sportsman, Jr., 78, of Graham, passed from this life on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Heartland Regional Hospital.

Born on October 7, 1927 in Hamburg, Iowa he was the son of the late John Ermil & Goldie Ruth (Collins) Sportsman.

He was a Veteran serving in W.W.II

He attended Union Church in Graham.

He was a farmer most of his life and had been previously employed for ten years with Uniroyal in Maryville.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Wilda Joan (Johnson) Sportsman whom he married on March 7, 1951 in Maryville, six children, Sandy Kaufman, Orange, TX, Steve Sportsman, Graham, Sue Kline & husband, Doug, Maitland, Stan Sportsman & wife, Cathy, Graham, Stoney Sportsman & wife Susan of Lake Charles, LA, and Sherri Sportsman, Kansas City, MO, sisters, Dorothy Morin & husband Ronnie, Brookfield, MO, Mary Ann Linville & husband Jim of Graham, brother, Raymond Sportsman, Maitland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Bobby Sportsman, brother, Kenneth Sportsman & a granddaughter, Hope Sportsman.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, Missouri 64468 with Pastor Don Barnett, Officiating. Final Resting Place with Military Honors will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham. The family will receive friends at the Danfelt Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M.
