Velma Irene Jennings

Maryville - Velma Irene Jennings, 93 of Maryville and formerly of Ravenwood, passed from this life on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center.

Born on April 17, 1913 in Gentry, Missouri she was the daughter of the late W.J. & Carrie (Powel) Cox. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Wilbur Gard, Edward Bremer and Wayne Jennings.

She was a homemaker most of her life and had worked as a nurse's aid at the old St. Francis Hospital.
She was a member of the Ravenwood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Donald Gard, Omaha, NE, grandchildren, Regina Brisbane, Kansas City, KS, Kelly Colwell, Maryville, Linda Killgore, Liberty, Steve Miller, Maryville, Lori Gard, Omaha, Randy Newby & Donna Kincaid, King City, MO, nieces, Reta Reidlinger, Conception Junction and Lila Lynch, Pickering, MO. She is survived by 18 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, children, Vera Waggner, Betty Newby, Alice Miller, one brother and one sister.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, MO. The family have their meal at 12 Noon Monday at the Community of Faith Church. Public Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 P.M. at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, Missouri 64468. Memorials may be made to Pine View Manor, Stanberry, MO.
