Creta Evelyn Cogburn

Maryville - Creta E. Cogburn, 81, of Maryville, passed from this life on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Parkdale Manor Care Center.

Born on June 6, 1925 in Harlan, KS she was the daughter of the late Noah & Maude (Thompkins) Jones. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Ratcliffe and her second husband, Charles Cogburn.

She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Maryville.

She retired from the Maryville R 2 School District.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Holmes and husband Paul, Wichita, KS, Karen Minnick and husband Kenny, Kansas City, MO, Janet Smith and husband Les, Maryville, Grandchildren, Jay Holmes and wife Shanna, Brad Holmes and wife Jennifer, Tammy Brewer and husband B.J., Chad Minnick, Ryan Minnick, Matthew Smith and wife Daressa, Brandon Smith and wife Stefanie and Travis Smith. She is survived by eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by brothers, Oscar & Cecil Jones and sister, Dorothy Armstrong.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, Missouri 64468. Final Resting Place will be in the Antioch Cemetery near Holt, MO at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday.
