Valerie J. Williams, 46, of Kansas City, Missouri died unexpectedly at her home on August 23, 2007.

Valerie was born on March 5, 1961 in Terre Haute, Indiana and grew up in the Kansas City area from the time she was 6 years old. She graduated from Truman High School in 1978. Valerie graduated from the Independence College of Cosmetology and was a hair dresser in the Kansas City area for many years. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Loren & Eleanor Frederick of Westfield, IL and her paternal grandparents Al & Neoma Williams of Martinsville, IL. She is survived by her mother, Vera Hanks of Maryville, MO, her father John Williams, of Martinsville, IL, her sister, Holly Kunkel of Maryville, MO, her brother Gary Ball of Springfield, IL, her special nephew, Jared Williams of Fort Sill, OK, and her special niece Brianna Welch of Maryville, MO, and also other nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins. Valerie was a very sweet girl and had a heart of gold. She knew in her soul that God loved her.

Valerie was cremated under the trusted care of the Danfelt Funeral Home.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, Missouri 64468 with the Rev. Paul McKim, Officiating. Inurnment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri. There will be no viewing or evening visitation, however the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
