Anna Belle Morton Montgomery 88, of Maryville, MO, and formerly of Graham, MO, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Village Care Center.
Anna was born in Skidmore, MO, on September 6, 1922 to Charles Albert and Myrtle Mae Deffenbaugh Morton, they preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles, and Bill Morton, and three sisters, Ella Mae Furster, Grace Grishow, and Lois Patterson.
Anna married James Edward Montgomery on May 25, 1945 in Troy, KS, he passed away in August of 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of the Skidmore Christian Church, Skidmore, MO.
Survivors include her son, Carl E. Montgomery, Maryville, MO, three granddaughters, Toni (late husband Kenny) Schafer, Maryville, Terri (Bob) Lager, Maryville, Jackie Moore, and David Moore, and three grandsons. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Trevor and Mason Schafer, Maryville, MO, Shelby, Fritz, and Anna Lager, Maryville, Natascha Degase, and Austin Brown, both of Savannah, MO, and two great great-grandchildren.
Anna took great pride in raising her granddaughters. You would often hear her say they were the apple of her eye. She would speak of them to anyone who would listen. But that all changed when the great grandchildren came along. She was an amazing person to all who knew her.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. The burial will be in the Groves Cemetery, Skidmore, MO. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the funeral home.
