Norma Jean Musick Cordell 79, of Savannah, MO, and former Hopkins MO, resident passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at her home in Savannah.

She was born on July 17, 1931 on a farm east of Hopkins to Archie and Velva Bownes Musick, she was a lifelong resident of the area.

Jean had been a waitress at the Phillips 66 Café in Hopkins for several years, and spent most of her adult life working alongside her husband at their farm.

She married Eldon Ray Cordell on August 7, 1948 in Maryville, he survives of the home. Other survivors include her son, Richard R. (Sue) Cordell, Grain Valley, MO., half brother Larry (Pat) Musick, Hopkins, MO, grandson Bradley (Melinda) Cordell, Savannah, MO, granddaughter, Amy Cordell, Kansas City, MO, great granddaughter, Sophia M. Cordell, Savannah, MO. and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Marvin Musick, two sisters, Edith Ware, and Marjorie McNeese, and her step-mother, Ethel M. Musick.
She had been a member of the Gaynor Missouri Methodist Church, and the Maple Grove Club.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Nodaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Maryville. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville.
