Virginia J. Eckery

Ravenwood - Virginia J. Eckery, 88, of Ravenwood, passed from this life on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the St. Francis Hospital.

Born on June 27, 1921 in Isadora, MO she was the daughter of the late Willie Clay & Caroline (Ray) Walker.

She was a member of the Ravenwood Christian Church and formerly a member of the Eastern Star of Ravenwood where she held the office of Worthy Matron.

She is survived by two devoted daughters, Barbara Rose Summa, Rayville, MO and Carol Ann Heller, Maryville, MO, sisters, Rosella Lewis, Ravenwood, Jean Brown, Ravenwood, a brother, Donald Walker, Ravenwood in addition 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters, Sylvia Merckling, L.B. Walker, Wilma McClure, Duane Walker, Jenetta Hammer Parker, Joe Walker, Doris Vaughn, Darlene Holiday, Jerard Walker, Arthur Walker and Pauline Gross.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Ravenwood Christian Church. Final Resting Place will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood. Memorials may be made to Ministry Center, Maryville.

The family receive friends at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. Friends may call after 9 AM Thursday.
