David Bennett

Mr. David Bennett 70, of Maryville, MO., passed away Wednesday December 16, 2009 at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.

David was born on October 6, 1939 in Quitman, MO., his parents were Ralph Elliott and Clara Rose Ellison Bennett. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Bennett. A former resident of Skidmore and Maitland, MO areas, David had resided in Maryville for the past nine years.

David was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1964, and had done farm labor for most of his life on the Clarence McGinness farm of the Skidmore, MO. area. He had attended the Presbyterian Church in Maitland, MO.

David is survived by his wife, Judy A. Morelock Bennett, whom he married on March 31, 1931. She survives of home in Maryville, MO. He is also survived by two daughters, Julie Ann Bennett Gross, Maryville, MO., and Cindy Lynn Bennett, State of Washington. Three step-sons, Karen Ray Westcott, Maryville, MO., Timothy William Westcott, Skidmore, MO., and Alic Bradley Westcott, Hopkins, MO. Two brothers, Ralph “Junior” Bennett, Maryville, MO., and Richard Bennett, Skidmore, MO. 10 grandchildren, 11 great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Bennett’s body has been cremated. No services are scheduled at this time. The family suggests memorials be directed to the family home in Maryville. The Bram Funeral Home of Maryville, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Online obituary, www.bramfuneralhome.com
