Betty J. Hoskins

Mrs. Betty Jean Hoskins 79, of Bolckow, MO, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, MO.

Betty was born in St. Joseph, MO on August 12, 1930 to James A. and Stella Mae Wright Jackson, and was a lifelong resident of northwest Missouri. She graduated in 1946, at the age of 16, from Central High School in St. Joseph. She raised her children and was a farm wife.

Betty married Hoyte M. Hoskins on February 22, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa. He passed away on June 10, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Betty attended the Bolckow Christian Church, and had been a member of the Women’s Extension Club, both of Bolckow.

Survivors include her children, daughter, Judy of Reno, NV. Her sons, Dennis and wife Debbie Hoskins, Chelsea, OK., Doug and wife Trynity Hoskins, Bolckow, MO. Also by her brother, Vincen Jackson, Bolivar, MO. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and longtime family friends, the Pittsenbarger Clan.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Bram Funeral Home of Maryville, Inc. Burial will be in the Bolckow Missouri Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
