Phillip E. "Phil" Atkins

Ravenwood - Phillip Eugene "Phil" Atkins, 64, of Ravenwood, passed from this life on Friday, December 23, 2005 at the St. Francis Hospital.

Born on December 16, 1941 in Whitesville, MO he was the son of the late Verl & Evelyn (Brunner) Atkins.

He retired from Energizer after 18 1/2 years of service he also was a farmer most of his life.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Maryville.

He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl A. (Lewellen) Atkins whom he married on June 24, 1961, daughter, Lisa Landess and husband Tim, Fillmore, son, David Atkins and wife Julie, Ravenwood, daughter, Carol Newsom and husband Kirby, Maryville, brother, Gary Atkins, Rosendale, sisters, Teresa Wright & Connie Roberts both of Savannah, grandchildren, Cody Newsom, Kyle Newsom, Ashley Landess, Rachel Landess, Chase Atkins & Jaden Atkins.
He is also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry Atkins and a grandson, Tyler Landess.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, MO 64468 with Pastor Terry Carlson, Officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M.
