Barbara Elizabeth Dowling

Barbara E. “Barb” Dowling 65, of Maryville, MO., passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the St. Francis Hospital, Maryville after a lengthy illness.

Born on January 11, 1944 in Clarinda, Iowa, Barb was a former resident of the Shenandoah, Iowa area. She had been a resident of the Maryville area since 1968. Her parents were Wayne and Maxine Morelock.

Barb had been employed in the sales department by the LMP Steel and Wire Company for many years, and retired six years ago. She was of the Protestant faith, and was preceded in death by her parents.

On February 19, 1977 she married Stephen G. Dowling in Clarinda, Iowa, he survives of the home in Maryville.

Other survivors include two daughters, Brenda M. Dowling and husband, Roger Young, of Colony, KS. and Bonnie D. and husband Randy Patterson, Graham, MO. A brother, Benny L. and wife Cheryl Johnson, Colorado Springs, CO., six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Barb has been cremated. Memorial Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Bram Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Connie Ury will be the officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date. No visitation is planned. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the funeral home with the destination to be determined later.
