Maryville- Mary Elaine Cochran Holaday, 77, of Maryville, passed from this life on, Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Parkdale Manor Care Center.

Born on April 26, 1932 in Cambridge, Iowa she was the daughter of George Emmit & Theresa Amelia (Lunnning) Bishop. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Galen Allen Cochran on August 8, 2004.

She was a member of the Laura Street Baptist Church and had retired as a secretary with Loch Sand & Construction, she was also a volunteer with SSM Hospice of NW Missouri for 16 years.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Don Holaday whom she married on March 17, 2007, loving son, Shawn Cochran, Clarinda, Iowa, step-children, Donella Sherry, Kathe DeMott and Jayne McVinua all of Maryville, sisters, Lorine Knutson, Radcliff, Iowa, Barbara Stahl, Sacremento, CA, brother, George Bishop, Stewartsville, MO, grandchildren, Jacob Cochran, Jessica Cochran, Amanda Cochran and great granddaughter, Zoe Cochran, step-grandchildren, Billi & Bobbi Walker, Ben & Lauren DeMott, Michael & Molly McVinua, Shane LaMar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Allen, a son Geoffrey Allen Cochran, sisters, Lucille Calkins, Lois Shelton, and brothers, Robert Bishop, Russell Bishop.


Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M., on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville. Final Resting Place will be in the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. The family will receive friends at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, MO on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. Memorial donations to Laura Street Baptist Church. Friends may call the funeral home anytime after 9 A.M. on Tuesday.
