Burlington Junction - Dale Dewane Lekey, 63, of Burlington Junction, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.
Born in Maryville, Missouri on July 8, 1945 he was the son of the late Ferd W. & Rhoda E. McIntyre Lekey.
He was a member of the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church.
He was a Veteran serving with the U.S. Army and was a member of the Rolla Dicks American Legion Post 315, Burlington Junction, MO.
He was the owner and operator of Dale Lekey Trucking.
He is survived by his loving children, Kameron Lekey, Tarkio, Kim Bush, Kansas City, MO, Karrisa Lacox, Burlington Junction, Kevin Giesken, Burlington Junction, a brother, David Lekey, Burlington Junction, grandchildren, Ashley Giesken, Tawny Bush, Kylie Lacox, Christopher Samuels, Leksi Wilson, Chelley Giesken, Kolten Lekey, Riley Lekey, Kale Lekey. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Bailey Giesken, and a nephew, Jesse Davison.
Mr. Lekey was cremated under the trusted care of the Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. There is no viewing however the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church. Inurnment with military honors will be in the Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
