Graham - L. Donald "Don" Lance, 71, of Graham, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at his home.
Born on February 9, 1937 in Barnard, MO he was the son of the late Lloyd John & Mildred Lucille (Drydale) Lance.
He had served in the US Army National Guard.
He was a member of the Graham United Methodist Church.
He worked at both Omaha and St. Joseph Stock Yards with Cudahay; John Clay & Co.; Lamborn, Murray & Davis and Colt, Wall & Bethel, retiring after 40 years.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Lea (Mowry) Lance, whom he married on October 26, 1957 in Graham, MO, loving children, Sherilyn Lance and friend Rusty Roach, Barnard, MO, Judith de la O and husband Antonio, Broken Arrow, OK, Horton Lance and wife Becky, Kansas City, MO, Suzy Ware and husband Rodney, Savannah, MO, brother, Phil Lance and wife Genine, Graham, MO and sister, Dixie Webb and husband, Leslie, Lady Lake, FL and five grandchildren, Melanie, Jared, JayAnn, MacKenzie, and Brett.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, MO 64468. Final Resting Place will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M., friends may call anytime after 11 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Graham United Methodist Church or SSM Hospice of NW Missouri.
