Richard J. Wilson 52, of Kansas City, MO., passed away at his home on July 2, 2008. Born on September 2, 1955 in Fairfax, MO, Richard had formerly resided in Maryville, and Skidmore, Missouri, and Watervliet, MI. He had been a resident of Kansas City for the past 12 years.
Richard had done contract computer work for most of his life. He was also a Musician and Singer. He was formerly employed by NWMSU in Maryville, in the Computing Services Department.
Richard was a former Eagle Scout in Troop 74, Maryville. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1973. He also was a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO.
Richard was a Methodist and had formerly attended the Lone Jack, MO United Methodist Church. He had also been in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in by an infant son:, Jonathan Neil Wilson, on June 12, 1974.
Richard is survived by a son, Phillip A. Wilson, Watervliet, MI, a daughter, Holly Jo and husband Dan Dent, Oregon, WI, A sister, Lee Ann and husband Anthony Cocchiara, Tuttle, OK. 2 step grandchildren, Gavin and Hunter Dent, Oregon, WI. His parents, Montie and Irmalee Wilson, Maryville, MO. A niece Kimberly and husband Shannon Mosby, Eldridge, IA, a great niece, Olivia, and great nephew, Jackson Mosby, both of Eldridge, IA.
Richard has been cremated. His Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday July 5, 2008, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville. Burial will be in the Miriam Cemetery, Maryville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association, or the First United Methodist Church, Maryville.
