Emmett Robert O’Riley 66, of Parnell, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009, as a result of an accident near Gaynor, MO.
Emmett was born in Maryville on January 10, 1943 to Robert Emmett and Evelyn Mary Frueh O’Riley. He was a graduate of Graham High School, and attended NWMSU in Maryville. Emmett was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served in Vietnam. Emmett lived most of his life in northwest Missouri, and spent 15 years farming in the El Dorado Springs, MO. area
He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. Emmett was a member of the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, Maryville.
Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob P. O’Riley, and a step-son, Terry Haase.
Emmett is survived by two daughters, Amy D. O’Riley-Couch, Nevada, MO., and Cara E. Johnson, Broken Arrow, OK., One step-daughter, Sharon Clouser, Bainbridge, PA. six sisters, Marilyn Ingels, Roberta Kimble, and Donna Lewis, all of Maryville, MO., Caroline Petersen, Mason City, IA., Colleen Clements, Holton, KS., Louise Wakely, Graham, MO. Three brothers, Jerry O’Riley, Thrall, TX., Larry O’Riley, Skidmore, MO., Charles O’Riley, Graham, MO., 4 grandchildren, Kailey and Ethan Couch, and Anna and Emma Johnson. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Martin DeMeuienacre, OSB, officiating. The burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, with full military rites by the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, Maryville, MO. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 P.M. Friday, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The family suggests memorials to the
