Clara Rowena Stiens

Maryville - Clara Rowena Stiens, 78, of Maryville, passed from this life on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the St. Francis Hospital.

Born on May 6, 1930 in Ravenwood, MO she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hyrum & Hettie Rowena (Loomis) Boswell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Stiens, Sr. on October 19, 2005.

She was a graduate of the Ravenwood High School.

She was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her loving children, Donald F. Stiens, Jr. and wife Beverly, Maryville, Roger E. Stiens and wife Debra, Maryville, Joyce E. Williams and husband Michael, LaVista, NE, brother, Arza Boswell, Ravenwood, loving grandchildren, Melissa Stiens, Nicki (Stiens) Mires, Jessica Stiens, Gina (Stiens) Wray, Kerry Stiens, Kelsey Stiens, Alicia Stiens, Annessa Stiens, Julie (Williams) Hurley, Nicholas Williams, and 10 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville, on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 with the Father Martin De Meulenaere as Celebrant. Final Resting Place will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Maryville. The family will receive friends at the St. Gregory's Catholic Church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 P.M. with a parish rosary service at 7 P.M. Friends may call anytime from 1 to 5 P.M. on Tuesday at the Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Gregory's School, 315 S. Davis, Maryville, MO 64468
