Donald Frederick Stiens, Sr.

Maryville - Donald F. Stiens, Sr., 78, Of Maryville, passed from this life unexpectedly on, Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Heartland Regional Hospital after receiving injuries from a farming accident.

Born on November 24, 1926 in Maryville he was the son of the late Fredrick Henry & Margaret Ellen (Growney) Stiens.

He was a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church, Maryville.
He worked as a farmer for over 65 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Clara Rowena (Boswell) Stiens, whom he married on April 18, 1950 in Clyde, MO, two sons, Donald F. Stiens, Jr. and wife, Beverly, Maryville, Roger E. Stiens and wife, Debra, Maryville, a daughter, Joyce E. Williams and husband Michael, LaVista, NE, brothers, Robert Stiens, Paul Stiens, Harold "Gene" Stiens, Ronald Stiens, sisters, Mary Lou Welch, Ellen Gallagher, Carylon Farnan, Rita Schieber and Rose Meyer.
Grandchildren, Melissa Stiens, Nicki (Stiens) Mires, Jessica (Stiens) Runde, Gina Stiens, Alicia Stiens, Annessa Stiens, Kelsey Stiens, Kerry Stiens, Julie Williams, and Nicholas Williams and Five Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Stiens.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 24, 2005 at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, Maryville. Final Resting Place will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday evening from 6 to 7 P.M. with a Parish Rosary at 7 P.M. Friends may call on Sunday at the funeral home 9 to 5.
