Brigitte Ruth Abbott

Burlington Junction - Brigitte Ruth Abbott, 74, of Burlington Junction, passed from this life on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Golden Living Center.

Born on February 11, 1935 in Weisbaden, Germany she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lipps & Hedwig (Heldt) Martin.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Marlin David Abbott whom she married on August 24, 1963, loving children, Michael H. Ramsey, Evart, MI, Pamela Ramsey, Burlington Junction, Nancy Spears, Lakeland, FL, step- children, David L. Abbott, Yankton, SD, Steven D. Abbott, Waterford, MI, Cheryl D. Sherman, Sears, MI, a brother, Egan Lipps, Ann Arbor, MI, 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ruth Feikema and step-daughter , Donna K. Burnham.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Danfelt Funeral Home, 951 S. Main Street, Maryville, MO 64468. Final Resting Place will be in the High Prairie Cemetery, Elmo, MO. There will be no evening visitation however the family will receive friends at the funeral hone from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. on Monday. Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice of NW Missouri or the Burlington United Methodist Church.
