Frances L. Hammond

Frances L. Hammond, 70, of Papillian, NE, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Midlands Hospital in Papillion, with her family at her side.

Frances was born in Maryville, MO, on December 1, 1946. Her parents were Dale D. and Virginia S. (West) Johnson. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her brother, Frank Johnson, in 2013.

She graduated from West Nodaway High School. She had managed restaurants, and was the owner operator of the former Fran’s Restaurant, Maryville. She was the Nodaway County Head of the Girl Scouts in the 1970’s, and had collected for the Heart and Cancer associations over the years. She had lived in the Omaha area since for the past 30 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Hammond (John Fox), Bellevue, NE, 5 grandchildren, Marilyn Youtsey, Omaha, NE, Amanda Youtsey, Omaha, NE, Jessica Albright, Omaha, NE, Stacy Lopez, Omaha, NE, and Jamie Jager, Sioux Falls, SD, sister, Vivian (Sam) Wright, St. Joseph, MO, 5 great grandchildren, Aubrey, Timothy, Le-Bettika, Emery, and Liam, nieces Lisa (John) Townley, Blue Springs, MO, 2 great nephews, Nick and Tristan.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Friday, March 17, 2017, at the funeral home.
